Sunday, November 11, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day- Sharing Fairs during male visitation. We will give out security blankets, resource bag for children, hygiene supplies, warm gloves, scarves and mittens, underwear, books, and much more for allthe children. We will have face painting- and turn visiting day into a joyful time!
Monday, December 4 and 18- Workshops will be held at Head Start on Feelings and Anger Management for Children. These sessions, from 5-7:00, are filled with resources and strategies- and each caregiver will leave with a library of children’s books on emotions.
Saturday, February 10- An Arts and Crafts workshop will be held at the Delaplaine Arts Center. Thanks to the work of the United Methodist Church of Middletown, volunteers will be working with children making arts and crafts projects for their families. Cost, as always, is free!
Friday, February 23- We will be speaking in Hagerstown at their Kinship Care group about the work of COIPP. This evening meeting will begin with our background as a non- profit, all volunteer organization, and conclude by offering resources and strategies to the attending caregivers.
Wednesday, April 4- We will be presenting at Frederick County Public Schools in the evening hours. We will be sharing the affect that incarceration has on children. This workshop, designed for teachers, is an exciting opportunity for us to share the research and strategies that can assist the children.
